Jonathan Warwick

Director of Church Schools

    Jonathan Warwick was born in Wellington New Zealand to Ronald and Nihe Warwick. He moved from Wellington when he was seven years old and was raised in Temple View, Hamilton, New Zealand. He graduated from the Church College of New Zealand and later earned a Degree in Teaching and a Degree in Science from the University of Waikato and a master’s degree in Education from Massey University.

    ​

     

    Brother Warwick served a fulltime mission as a young man in Sydney, Australia. He has served in multiple callings including Young Men’s President, Stake Family History Director, Bishopric Counsellor, Bishop, High Councilor, and Counsellor in the New Zealand Auckland Mission Presidency, and is currently serving as the Elder's Quorum President.

     

     

    He worked as a high school Mathematics teacher and school leader for many years before being employed by the Seminaries and Institutes of Religion Department of the Church. He has worked as a Seminary and Institute Coordinator and an Associate Director and is currently working as the Director of Church Schools.

    ​

     

    He and his wife Lian are the parents of two children and one beautiful granddaughter.

    Syd Daniels

    Associate Director

      M Sidney Daniels (Syd) was born in Kaikohe New Zealand. He graduated from the Church College of New Zealand and later earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction from the University of Waikato and a Post-graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary) from the Auckland College of Education.

      ​

      Brother Daniels has served in multiple callings including being a bishop twice, stake president, and assistant area auditor. He and his wife Wendy are currently serving as FSY session directors.

      ​

      For the first nine years of his teaching career Syd worked at the Church College of New Zealand as a Seminary and Institute teacher. Later he became part of the senior administration team where he became the Director of Administrative Services for the College and Seminary & Institutes New Zealand. Syd also served as acting Vice-Principal and Deputy Principal.

      ​

      When Church College closed in December 2009, Syd and his wife Wendy moved to Queensland, Australia where he taught Senior Accounting and Economics for 13 years. In March 2022, they moved back to New Zealand to take up his current employment as Associate Director of Church Schools.

      ​

      Syd and his wife Wendy are the parents of seven children and 19 beautiful grandchildren.

      Tom Forsgren

      Associate Director

        Thomas Forsgren was born in Phoenix, Arizona in the United States of America to Brent and Charlene Forsgren. During his childhood and youth, he lived in Ohio, North Carolina, and Utah. After graduating high school in Utah, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University.

         

        Brother Forsgren served a fulltime mission in Osorno, Chile. He has served in multiple callings including primary teacher, young men’s advisor, elders quorum president, stake young men’s president, and second counselor in the bishopric.

         

        Brother Forsgren worked as a primary school teacher and primary school principal before being employed by the Seminaries and Institutes of Religion Department of the Church. As a Church employee, he has worked as a middle/high school principal, Education Support Division manager, and is currently working as Associate Director of Church schools.

         

        He and his wife Jimett are the parents of five children.
